Rosenbaum

A dense, stern collection of poetic texts by Marie Steinerová (1962) from the years 1980-1999 is divided into three sections: Proverbs, Dreaming, Pointless to Sing-, which are connected by a rare and original poetic vision. By the use of a dreamy distance and hints the author acknowledges her closeness to the poetry of the group “Vysoká hra “, namely in the way she leaves the poetic enigma unresolved and works with unfinished meaning and terseness. Another feature of this lyricism is an unpretentious sense of exoticism and fantasy and the use of gentle and sometimes even cruel literary play.
