Bedřich Feuerstein

  • Editor: Stanislav Kolíbal

Bedřich Feuerstein (1892–1936) was presumably the most talented architect of the Czech avant-garde. His texts belong undoubtedly to the most interesting literary works written by the 20th century Czech architects. This is partly the result of Feuerstein’s, then rather uncommon experiences (prolonged stays in France and Japan, visits to the USA and USSR), and partly the result of his unique artistic talent combined with the ability rarely seen among architects - to express general truth as well as volatile moments.
