The Exhibition Brussels Dream heads abroad - The Book by the Same Title Wins Czech Grand Design Award

One of the most prominent Czech graphic designers Robert V. Novák won a prestigious Czech Grand Design Award in the category Graphic Designer of the Year 2008 for his narrative monograph The Brussels Dream – The Czechoslovak presence at Expo 58 in Brussels and the lifestyle of the early 1960s (Edited by Vanda Skálová and Daniela Kramerová).

The extensive project Brussels Dream mapping the Czechoslovak presence at the Brussels World's Fair Expo 58 celebrates another success. One of the most prominent Czech graphic designers Robert V. Novák won a prestigious Czech Grand Design Award in the category Graphic Designer of the Year 2008 for his narrative monograph The Brussels Dream – The Czechoslovak presence at Expo 58 in Brussels and the lifestyle of the early 1960s (Edited by Vanda Skálová and Daniela Kramerová). The book was published by Arbor vitae societas. Approximately 40, 000 people visited the exhibition last year in the City Gallery Prague - Municipal Library, and subsequently, in the Moravian Gallery in Brno and the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague. This autumn, the exhibition will be held in Bratislava (SK) with Wroclaw (PL) and other European cities being negotiated. Further information can be found on  www.expo58.info.
