The end of the exhibition at the Imperial Stables of Prague Castle

On July  31 ended the first exhibition devoted to the forgotten painter Ruzena Zatkova. Its curator, PhD. Alena Pomajzlová, gathered all available documents and works of the artist, who spent most of her life abroad (Italy, Switzerland). Originally from a famous Zátka family, she lived short (died in thirty-eight years), but rich life. She is described as a futurist, although the futurism only inspired her. Her close friend was F.T. Marinetti, who  helped her organize exhibitions in Italy and was preparing to carry out an exhibition of her works in Prague, where she was nknown. Unfortunately, it never happend. Ruzena Zátková in his work evolved from realistic paintings and drawings to abstract paintings, and later three-dimensional creation, to the opinion  that there is no need to belong somewhere, but to create with full enthusiasm.

A large monograph dedicated to Ruzena Zatkova was published.
